How to Mould Your Sleep Easy Mouthpiece
Moulding Process
1. Brush your teeth thoroughly before moulding.
2. Heat the kettle and pour boiling water into bowl (enough to fully submerge the mouth).
3. Submerge the mouth piece for 90 seconds exactly.
Post-Heating Care
4. Slowly remove the mouthpiece from the hot water with tongs, being careful not to squeeze it too hard.
5. Place the mouthpiece in the bowl of cold water for 3 seconds, removing any excess boiling water from the device (preventing burning) .
Mouthpiece Placement
6. Position the mouthpiece in your mouth correctly, with the upper tray on the top row of teeth and lower tray on the bottom row of the teeth..
7. Bite down firmly on your mouthpiece for 1 second, moulding into the place and then gently remain in this position for 45 seconds .
Final Setting
8. After 45 seconds, remove the mouthpiece and check that it has moulded effectively (your teeth marks should be visible along both trays).
9. Return the mouthpiece to the bowl of cold water for an addition 2 minutes, to allow it to set before use.
Optimal Moulding Tips
Tips for successful moulding
For an even better fit; whilst the mouthpiece is moulding against your teeth (step 7), try pressing your fingers gently against the outside of your lips and cheeks to improve the custom fit. You can also suck any air and excess moisture from the mouthpiece, which will improve the position and outcome of the mould.
And if you happen to make a mistake? Don't stress! Your Sleep Easy Mouthpiece can be moulded up to three times. Just make sure to let it completely cool for 30 minutes between moulds.
We recommend that you follow the steps in your user guide for the best possible mould. Please note: this product is designed specifically for medium-large mouths. It is unfortunately not suitable for children or smaller mouths (however, a Sleep Easy 2.0 is currently in manufacturing!).

How to Adjust Your Sleep Easy Mouthpiece
Push-Slide Technique
1. To apply a gradual push-slide adjustment, hold the lower tray in your right-hand, and upper tray in your left-hand.
2. With the right hand, locate the 'push' tabs and place pressure over both, squeezing the lower tray together (as pictured above).
Adjustment Guidance
3. With the left hand, grip the tray with the thumb and forefinger, sliding the upper tray back and forth to find the desired position.
4. The mouthpiece has 10 different adjustments at 1 millimetre increments. We recommend adjusting the lower jaw forward by no more than 3 millimetres per day, allowing the mouth to adjust slowly to it's new, anti-snoring position.
Adjustment Period
5. When initially using the mouthpiece, you may experience some soreness around the jaw, teeth and mouth. This is completely normal. It can sometimes take a few days for the jaw to adjust to this new position. To avoid such symptoms, trial a progressive approach to jaw positioning, starting with a small adjustment and gradually increasing this position over time.
